A horse jumping a blue and white oxer

Buying a young horse is part judgement, part trust. Here is what we would ask, if we were on the other side of the table.

  • See the horse loose jumping and ridden, ideally on two different days.
  • Ask for X-rays and a full vetting by a vet you choose.
  • Ask who has ridden the horse, and for how long.
“The right horse fits your plans, not just your budget.”
